Did you know that orangutans are on the verge of extinction? In Japan, not many people know about it. That is the reason why, we are here to work and disseminate information about orangutans, so that more and more people will be aware and be able to learn about things such as their harsh situations as well as on their unique characteristics.
At the seminar which we regularly conduct, we have set up a booth where we sell books on orangutans. We also conduct events to support meetings and joint research, to facilitate interactions and information exchanges between zookeepers in Japan.
